Start at midnight up the northwest scree, passing between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers to Stella Point (~5,756m) for a snack and hot drink, then along the crater rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) — the roof of Africa. Descend to Barafu for brunch, then continue down to Mweka Camp (~3,100m) through the forest zone.
