Snorkeling itineraries

Snorkel the Great Blue Hole, sleep on a remote island sanctuary, and explore ancient Maya temples and jungle caves — all independently. This self-launched version of Much Better Adventures' flagship Belize itinerary follows the same incredible route (Belize City → Half Moon Caye/Lighthouse Reef Atoll → San Ignacio → ATM Cave → Caracol) but replaces group tour pricing with budget accommodation, self-booked tours, and local transport. Expect comparable experiences at a fraction of the guided group cost.

A self-launched, independently bookable version of Much Better Adventures' 9-day Premium Galápagos trip. Fly into Quito, explore the Old Town and the equator, then fly to the archipelago and island-hop Baltra → Santa Cruz → Isabela → Santa Cruz at your own pace. Book day tours directly through local operators in Puerto Ayora and Puerto Villamil (snorkelling Las Tintoreras, the Sierra Negra volcano hike, a yacht day to an uninhabited island, Garrapatero and Tortuga Bay). You stay in comfortable 3-4 star boutique guesthouses and eco-lodges, eat in local restaurants, and use the same public ferries and domestic flights as the group tour — for a fraction of the operator's cost. Costs are rough per-person estimates in GBP excluding international flights.

A self-launched version of the classic Palawan & Coron island-hopping route. Kayak through El Nido's limestone lagoons, snorkel WWII shipwrecks in Coron, camp on a remote island in the Sulu Sea and cycle the walled city of Intramuros — all independently, at your own pace and a fraction of the tour cost. This DIY equivalent swaps boutique hotels and guided logistics for well-reviewed guesthouses, direct bookings with local boat operators, public ferries and domestic flights between the same must-see islands.
