Today involves the long haul east across the Namibian interior towards the Botswana border at Buitepos. Take a long-distance Intercape or local bus from Windhoek to the border town, then cross into Botswana and continue on to the village area around D'kar/Ghanzi. It's a long travel day across flat, thorny savanna — grab window seats and watch the landscape change. D'kar is a small San (Bushman) community settlement.
