Arrive in Marrakech & Explore the Medina

The ascent from the refuge involves steep, loose scree and potentially snow/ice in early season (May-June) — crampons can be hired in Imlil if needed (~50 MAD/day). Your guide carries the necessary safety equipment. Allow 10 hours total for the round trip including the long descent all the way back to Imlil (the mules carry your main bag down). Celebrate on the highest summit in North Africa with the Sahara haze visible to the south and the full Atlas range spread out around you. Back in Imlil, collect your luggage and take a shared grand taxi back to Marrakech. Check back into your riad, shower, and head out for a celebratory tagine or couscous in the medina.
