You'll cover the same ground — Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler, Sun Peaks, Jasper, Banff, the Okanagan — but by public bus, train, ferry and budget car-share rather than a 50-seat coach, then finish with a self-booked Inside Passage cruise from Vancouver. Hostels, motels and budget lodges replace the tour hotels, and every "included activity" is swapped for a self-bookable equivalent.
