Sabah is a Malaysian state occupying the northeastern tip of Borneo, the world's third-largest island, bordered by the Sulu and Celebes Seas. It is best known for the towering Mount Kinabalu — Southeast Asia's highest peak at 4,095 metres — which draws trekkers from around the world to Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Sabah's waters around Semporna and the Tun Sakaran Marine Park are ranked among the best dive destinations on the planet, with sites like Sipadan famous for hammerhead sharks, barracuda tornados, and sea turtles. Beyond diving and hiking, travellers come for wildlife encounters in the Kinabatangan River rainforest, including wild pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, and orangutans.

Missions
Nobody's posted a Mission for Sabah, Malaysian Borneo yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.
Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.
Be the first to post one: "Learn the first 20 seconds of a local dance, then perform it, uninvited, at every bar you visit."
