1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

The Perfume Pagoda (Hương Sơn) is a vast complex of Buddhist temples, shrines, and grottoes carved into the limestone cliffs of the Hương Tích mountains in Hà Nam province, about 60 kilometres southwest of Hanoi. It is one of Vietnam's most sacred pilgrimage sites, drawing millions of devotees — particularly during the Perfume Pagoda Festival held from the first to the third lunar month each year. Visitors reach the complex by rowing boat along the Yến Stream through scenic karst landscapes, before hiking or taking a cable car up to the main Hương Tích Cave shrine. Beyond its spiritual significance, the area is popular with travellers for its dramatic natural scenery, river journeys, and insight into Vietnamese Buddhist traditions.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Perfume Pagoda (Huong Son), Vietnam yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Eat the strangest thing on the menu every single day for a week and document the regret."
