1 itinerary · 0 open departures · 0 missions

Oulanka is a remote wilderness region in northern Finland, centred around Oulanka National Park in the Northern Ostrobothnia and Lapland border area. The park is one of Finland's most visited and celebrated, carved by the Oulankajoki River and characterised by dramatic gorges, rushing rapids, pine forests, and wildflower meadows. It is best known as the home of the Karhunkierros, or Bear's Ring — one of the most famous long-distance hiking trails in the Nordic countries. Travellers come here for multi-day trekking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, and the chance to experience Finland's raw subarctic nature in near-total solitude.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Oulanka, Finland yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Eat the strangest thing on the menu every single day for a week and document the regret."
