Mardi Himal Trek: Self-Launched Independent Version

A self-launched version of Himalaya Heart Treks' 10-day Mardi Himal itinerary. Same route — Kathmandu sightseeing, tourist bus to Pokhara, then the classic trek from Kande through Australian Camp, Forest Camp, High Camp and Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) — but done independently using public buses, self-arranged teahouses and locally paid TIMS/ACAP permits. Mardi Himal needs no registered guide, only the permits, so this is one of Nepal's most achievable DIY treks. Costs are approximate and based on current budget/teahouse rates.
