The Khumbu, or Everest Region, is a high-altitude area in northeastern Nepal lying within Sagarmatha National Park — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — and home to the world's highest peak, Mount Everest (8,849 m). It is one of the most iconic trekking destinations on the planet, drawing adventurers to classic routes like the Everest Base Camp trek and the Three Passes circuit. The region is also the homeland of the Sherpa people, whose culture, monasteries, and hospitality are a major part of the experience. Beyond trekking, serious mountaineers come to attempt Everest and neighbouring peaks such as Ama Dablam and Island Peak.

Missions
Nobody's posted a Mission for Nepal (Khumbu / Everest Region) yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.
Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.
Be the first to post one: "Learn a completely impractical skill from a local — fire spinning, competitive coconut opening, whatever — and become weirdly good at it."
