Langtang National Park is Nepal's third-largest national park, located just 50 kilometres north of Kathmandu along the Tibetan border. The park encompasses dramatic Himalayan terrain, including glaciers, alpine meadows, and dense forests, with peaks such as Langtang Lirung (7,227 m) dominating the skyline. It is best known for the Langtang Valley trek, a popular alternative to the Everest and Annapurna circuits that draws trekkers seeking high-altitude wilderness with fewer crowds. The region is also home to the Tamang and Tibetan communities, offering rich cultural experiences alongside wildlife such as red pandas, snow leopards, and Himalayan tahr.

Missions

Nobody's posted a Mission for Langtang National Park, Nepal yet — which, frankly, is an opportunity.

Wait, what's a Mission? It's not a scheduled trip with dates and a minimum group size like a Departure — it's a goal. Learn to dive, do a Muay Thai camp, live somewhere for a month and work on something, chase one very specific experience. Post it, and other people chasing the same thing find you.

Be the first to post one: "Learn a completely impractical skill from a local — fire spinning, competitive coconut opening, whatever — and become weirdly good at it."
