The Golden Triangle — Delhi, Agra, Jaipur — is one of the world's great travel circuits, and you absolutely don't need a guided tour to do it. Trains, buses and shared taxis connect all the major stops cheaply and efficiently, entry tickets to every sight are bookable on the spot or online, and budget accommodation in all four destinations is plentiful and good. This self-launched version follows the exact same route as the World Travel Experiences group tour — Delhi sightseeing, the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, Fatehpur Sikri en route to Jaipur, Amber Fort and the Pink City, and a day trip to sacred Pushkar — at roughly a third of the price.
