You stay in hostels and guesthouses in or near each old town instead of the operator's hotels, arrange your own transfers, and pay as you go for activities through GetYourGuide, Klook or local kiosks. The pace is deliberately slow — 3 nights in Dubrovnik, 2 in Korčula, 1 in Hvar and a final night in Split — with an honest warning that Hvar in one night is tight, so consider swapping a Dubrovnik night for a second Hvar night if beaches and pakleni islands appeal.
