You'll start and end in Yaoundé, travel overland to Somalomo on the edge of the UNESCO-listed Dja Faunal Reserve, spend four nights under canvas trekking with a local eco-guard and Baka (pygmy) guide network, and finish with a River Dja canoe trip and a dinner of Cameroonian cuisine. Everything — bush taxi transport, campsite fees, guides, cook, permits and park entry — can be arranged directly through the reserve's community tourism contacts at Somalomo rather than as a packaged group tour.
